On the 10th of November 1966, Con Harrington founded the company, initially named C.F. Harrington.

Harringtons becomes a major subcontractor for McInerney’s, the largest local authority housing contractor in London, handling groundworks and civil engineering.

The company moves its headquarters from Acton to Wembley, Middlesex.

CF Harrington reaches £1m turnover.

Tony Harrington, Con’s son, joins the family business after working on projects during school holidays.

The company rebranded from C.F. Harrington to Harringtons Builders PLC and became a Public Limited Company. It builds its own head office in Wembley.

Tony Harrington becomes a director of the company.

HBPLC start working on the Wembley Park development with Sisk, and this positive working relationship forms the cornerstone of Harringtons' business for the next 20 years.

Harringtons' team at Addington Valley Academy receives an HSE Award, and the company earns Quarterly Safety Awards from the Kier Group for the Harris Academy and Addington Valley projects.

Harringtons achieves ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 certifications, reflecting high standards in quality and safety management. The company is named Subcontractor of the Year, South East, for the Phoenix College Project with ISG at the Annual SCF Awards. Harringtons also supports World Quality Week, emphasising sustainability.

Harringtons Builders PLC reaches £50m turnover.

Harringtons wins the Contractor of the Year Award at the Galliford Try Building Southern Delivering Excellence Awards. The company sponsors the London Region Construction Training Group (LRCTG) awards ceremony.

Harringtons wins contractor of the year for John Sisk Builders & Son.

Harringtons wins contractor of the year for Wilmott Dixon Southern region.
