Veterans In Action is an armed forces charity that helps veterans and their families who have suffered the effects of war or who have found the transition to civilian life difficult, focusing on the emotional and physical well-being of those involved to help them grow as an individual or family. Veterans In Action projects are based on the decades old study of Post-Traumatic Growth where initially veterans can participate on tried and tested projects that enable them to grow within a team of their peers in what is their new mission here at home, helping themselves by helping others.
Veterans are now working on building two new expedition vehicles to add to our fleet. The building of these vehicles are part of the long term approach take to veterans mental health, once complete the vehicles are then used to undertake overland expeditions for veterans who suffer from PTSD to help them rebuild their confidence, self-esteem and self-belief.

Every day, 7 young people aged 13-24 hear the words "you have cancer". Relationships, exams, careers, life plans – cancer can throw everything into chaos leaving young people feeling isolated, scared and out of control. Teenage Cancer Trust is the only charity in the UK that’s dedicated to meeting the unique and complex needs of teenagers and young adults with cancer. We put them in the best possible place, physically, mentally and emotionally, for their cancer treatment and beyond.
And we do this in partnership with the NHS. We do it through our team of award-winning specialist nurses and support teams, as well as our 28 state-of-the-art hospital wards within NHS hospitals. Teenage Cancer Trust is dedicated to ensuring no young person faces cancer alone.
